… I’m so glad I’m not the only one staying home for New Year’s! I would much rather drink cocktails with my family, while watching TV, then go and watch the fireworks in the park with my dogs, then be out at some party. :)
Usually I find parties exhausting, and I’m often rather embarrassed later by how I’ve behaved because I’ve drunk too...

chillaxing downstairs with a strong gin and tonic and the new XL episode of QI.
I would waste time being hurt that nobody has asked me anywhere, but I’m actually having a far nicer time at home than I probably would out. If I could have a close friend or two with me, that would be better, but really, stuff parties.
